I don't know why I like this picture I just do! Have a great week everyone.

Jay

This is my Earth hour. Zero lights for 1 hour. I took pictures while Mel slept on the couch.

I think my camera makes her sleepy.  I put some thought into both these photos. I think they turned out Ok.

Mel and I got a bird feeder from our friends Sheri and Allan as a house warming gift. Awesome gift idea. I feel really bad because I think  we might have to send it back to them. I think the sales guy must have pulled a fast one and sold them a squirrel feeder.  I know it sounds crazy and I know it looks a lot like a bird feeder. Just look ..........this is definitely a squirrel feeder. The picture doesn't lie ;O)
I'm facing Uncle Paul and Aunt Christine's farm to get this shot. The farm is behind the shed in this photo. I think it's charming!

I saw a ground hog on the hill that leads up to the barn at Jack and Karen's other farm.So of course I took some pictures. I went there this weekend to see if the ravens had new baby chicks this year. I heard the chicks so that's a great thing.I'll get some photos later this month.
It's maple syrup time again.

Mel and I went the maple syrup festival 2 years ago. It was very interesting.  I see so many trees that are tapped this year Cold nights and warm days are perfect for sap to run. Yummy!

I bought some maple syrup from a local lady a few weeks ago. Last years is just as good this year:O)

I took this picture on the way to work last week. If feels soothing to me. Early morning is a good time for mood lighting.

I like this photo a lot. It looks like a painting. Some of my photos turn out looking like paintings. I don't mind. I just wonder why my eye sees this sometimes. Anyway.....
I would like to thank Jennifer McDougall and Melanie for jump starting my photography. I got my first good camera for Christmas a few years ago from Mel and her family. Even though I get annoying by taking pictures a lot. Everyone is great about tolerating it for now. Jennifer is great she really encourages me to explore new things and I look up to her.I really like her photos and her blog is really beautiful. Jen your Photos are amazing! And I hope we can go out sometime this year and take pictures together. Thanks Jen.

Well today wasn't very exciting but it was sunny this morning and not freezing cold like it was last Monday.I am still having trouble with my canon rebel though. I didn't see the bald eagle this morning either. I guess it will be next year until I get another picture of it. So this it a picture of the Belwood dam this morning just outside of Fergus. It' s a bit of a hike down to the water but well worth the effort. I saw a fisherman, a few hikers and a seagull. It's nice a nice place to walk around if you like the sound of rushing water. In the summer I guess people drive down here to swim and camp on the other side of the river. A few miles down the road is the bridge I took the picture of the bald eagle at. The are a lot of animals and birds to take photos of all year round so far.

I'll leave you with a few more photos from my day.
I had an exiting morning. I saw lots of wild life and took a few photos. It was a learning day for me. I learned what happens if a deer gets caught in
an enclosure on the 4Th line that is made for horses. :O( I however did not take pictures of that. The picture in my head is enough for everyone. I set out to find an eagle but had a couple of experiences. I did not see the Bald eagle. It was a good day none the less. I'll check tomorrow to see if it's there again I might have miss the eagle for this winter Darn camera was in the shop for the past few weeks. I have it back now so I'll keep clicking away.

Taking a great photo is hard.
A lot of practice and lots of patience is needed. I'll have to work on both of those. I guess for now I'll just click away and wait for the right moment.
