The tree in this photo is 200 years old and is to be cut down in June. Some local people tried to petition against it but were told it couldn't be saved. The builders need to take it down to make way for a fire station. The builders are going to try to save some of the wood and will plant another new tree in a different location. I'm glad that they are at least thinking about the future in a more positive way. I hope my picture will live on for a thousand years.
